For some time now I’ve been practising my newly-discovered hobby of “drawing” – or rather, colouring-in.
I know it’s probably too late for me to learn to produce any kind of realistic art – but slowly I’m finding a style of my own. It seems to involve bright colours, geometric designs and rainbows. Lots of rainbows.
The inspiration for that and the knowledge I’m gathering has all come from studying the artworks of my friends and on this site.
I’m having a wonderful time with it, and want to thank all DA folks firstly for posting the artwork that inspires me to try something similar for myself, and secondly for being polite enough to peruse mine now and then and leave the odd word of encouragement.
It means a lot!

I've been browsing some of the thousands upon thousands of pieces of artwork in these pages and they are inspiring. They act as a spark, an igniter of thoughts and emotions which in turn make me want to write something. I certainly can't paint something :/
So maybe there's a kind of symbiosis there and if the artwork of others can give me inspiration for writing, then maybe my words can make a picture for someone to draw :D
